Abstract: This presentation on NIST Special Publication 800-53 includes guidance on how to use a FIPS Publication 199 security categorization to identify minimum security controls for an information system. This is one of three presentations made by NIST experts during a Quarterly IT Forum co-hosted by the IT Workforce Committee of the CIO Council and GSA's Office of Electronic Government and Technology on April 6, 2005 at GSA.
