Abstract: This document provides background and reference guidance on IT Workforce Planning and Training. It was developed by a group of Federal CIO Council IT Workforce Committee members and OPM Human Capital Officers. This resource package is designed to provide contextual information (in one document) to the CIO and Human Capital communities on IT Workforce Planning and on IT Training Guidance. The briefing contains history and important dates; goals of the of the PMA, E Gov Act, Clinger-Cohen Act; history of OMB Data Calls for the E Gov Act; responsibilities/required actions for agencies; and a Resource Guide.
