Confirming Agency Compliance with 10/27/2006, Deadline to Begin Issuing HSPD-12 PIV Cards

Abstract: OMB Memorandum 05-24, “Implementation of Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12 - Policy for a Common Identification Standard for Federal Employees and Contractors”, directs agencies to begin issuing Personal Identity Verification II compliant cards by October 27, 2006. To confirm you have met this requirement, please submit to the Office of Management and Budget, via email, a copy of the first compliant card you issue along with the date and time the card was issued. Your email message should be sent to OMB at eauth@omb.eop.gov within three days following the issuance of your first card.
