Report to Congress on the Benefits of the President's E-Government Initiatives

Abstract: The Federal government is delivering results through expansion and adoption of electronic government principles and best practices in managing information technology (IT). Through the implementation of these principles, the government is increasingly providing timely and accurate information to citizens and government decision makers while ensuring security and privacy.

This notification is in compliance with section 737 of Division D of Public Law 110-161 (the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2008, 121 Stat. 2028) as continued by section 101 of the Consolidated Security, Disaster Assistance, and Continuing Appropriations Act of 2009 (Public Law 110-329) which requires the Office of Management and Budget to submit a report describing each initiative, the costs of each initiative, and the sources and distribution of E-Gov funding. The information provided in this report is aligned with the activities described in the President's Budget of 2009.
