Abstract: Cloud Computing - Just what is cloud computing? How is cloud computing being implemented in civilian, defense and intelligence agencies? What is the impact to cloud computing on acquisition, finance, human capital, and IT Communities?
This presentation was given at the 2009 Federal IT Summit by Katie Lewin, Chief of Staff, CIO and Program Manager for OMB's Cloud Computing Initiatives, General Services Administration; Peter Tseronis, Deputy Associate Chief Information Officer, Department of Energy; and Eric Won, Chief Technologist, General Services Administration. The slides were presented on October 28, 2009, at the Department of Commerce at a breakout session to more than 100 federal IT workers. The event was co-sponsored by the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of E-Government and the Privacy Committee of the Federal CIO Council.
