Abstract: Transparency, participation, and collaboration are the foundations for the open government vision. This panel will explained how and where they interact in the Federal space. Especially through the interaction of Federal Sites including Facebook, Twitter, Second Life, and government organization web sites.
This presentation was made at the 2009 Federal IT Summit by Frank Baitman, Chief Information Officer, Social Security Administration, Roger Baker, Assistant Secretary of Information and Technology, Department of Veterans Affairs and Sanjeev "Sonny" Bhagowalia, Chief Information Officer, Department of the Interior. The URLs were presented on October 28, 2009, at the Department of Commerce at a breakout session to more than 50 federal IT workers. The event was co-sponsored by the Office of Management and Budget's Office of E-Government and the Privacy Committee of the Federal CIO Council.
