Abstract: The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) are working in partnership to further Federal sustainability targets and other management goals. This partnership extends to the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI), an OMB-led initiative to consolidate and reduce the number of Federal data centers. Over the last decade the number of data centers has expanded dramatically, leading to costly, redundant, and inefficient IT investments.
