BEST PRACTICES CASE STUDIES

Best Practices Committee

Purpose:
The Management Best Practices Committee (MBPC) is established by the CIO Council Charter to serve as a focal point for promoting information management/information technology (IM/IT) best practices within the federal government. The BPC brings together a team of IT professionals committed to identifying the most successful of IM/IT practices being implemented in industry, government and academia; and sharing them with agency CIOs as best practices to be considered for emulation across the Federal government. It is about sharing the successes of others and not reinventing the wheel. It is about constantly learning and applying working models to reduce complexity and achieve results. It is also about cost avoidance and sound stewardship of the taxpayer's dollars.
