Vivek Kundra discussed the poor management of Federal IT investments, and how the Obama Administration is committed to closing the IT gap between the public and private sectors by leveraging the power of technology to improve government efficiency and deliver better services to the American people. The President has ordered a three-year freeze in non-defense and national security programs in the FY 2011 budget and has directed some agencies to reduce their 2012 budget request by five percent. Mr. Kundra stated that to do more with less, we need to leverage game-changing technologies such as cloud computing.
