Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland
Brianna Mentle is finishing her Sophomore year at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is majoring in Information Systems with a minor in Public Policy and is an applicant for the Advanced Cybersecurity Experience for Students (ACES) minor.
She is interested in working with businesses and government as a liaison between the technical and policy aspects of cybersecurity, which are both constantly changing as a result of fast-paced technological innovations. She has work experience with various government groups including the Maryland House of Delegates, the Howard County Executive’s Office, and most recently she interned at the Office of Management and Budget within the Cyber and National Security Unit. In addition, she has worked with CyberSTEM programs as a teaching assistant.
Brianna is passionate about cybersecurity policy, and wants to leverage her communication and leadership skills to engage with the private and public sectors to ensure preventative and recovery measures are in place regarding cybersecurity.
